Aurora
Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is an Norwegian musician and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th, 2015 it received a raving review from music blogs as well as from the media. Half the World Away - by Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole have already been two notable covers that the singer has created. Katy Perry's praise for the song Runaway in a blog post gave the artist some additional appreciation. Make it a special day for her. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding a piano in her attic and being awed by the music it could create. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes encouraged her to use music for the sake of personal development, and not to earn a living or as a hobby. For this reason she wrote her first new compositions. Bjork as well as Leonard Cohen are among her most favored songwriters. The singer decided to perform the songs she wrote publicly after her mother suggested that they can help other people, not to gain fame with her music, but rather to help people see around them realize their own importance and how they could impact the world. She began playing the piano as her primary instrument at the age of six, and she started creating music after turning nine. She didn't tell her family about her music until she reached fourteen. The dream was never to turn into Aurora. The only thing she loves is writing music. She says that music is her most preferred way of feeling anything.
